HOW TO APPLY FOR EROBOTA
The Own Business programme provides grant financing for starting or developing a business. As of 28 August 2026, August is a transitional month: applications were suspended after 31 July, and the new stage starts on 1 September 2026.
It is useful for the entrepreneur to use this time for the business plan, budget, sales calculation and future jobs.
New Own Business Model from 1 September 2026
From 1 September, the programme moves to a new model. For starting a business, the published basic amount is from UAH 100,000 to UAH 300,000, with increases under the relevant conditions up to UAH 500,000. For scaling an operating business, the basic range is from UAH 500,000 to UAH 1.5 million, and with increases the maximum amount may reach UAH 2.5 million.
The published increases are linked to the entrepreneur's age, veteran status, VAT, relocation, creation of jobs, work in designated frontline regions, restoration of damaged production assets and priority sectors of the economy. The specific amount is formed according to the applicant's and business project's parameters.
Applications for the new stage are planned to be submitted through the Diia portal. An individual, sole proprietor or private-law legal entity prepares a business plan and information about the future activity. The main question for the owner is how much money is needed for equipment, premises, the team and the launch of sales, and what part of these expenses the grant will cover.
August is also convenient for the applicant because the format of the future application can be defined before applications open. The entrepreneur prepares a description of the goods or service, working region, team composition, purchasing plan and revenue forecast. After the new stage starts, these data are transferred to the official form, while the final grant amount is calculated under the rules applicable to the specific business.
Business Plan, Expenses and Jobs
The business plan starts with the customer: who pays, which goods or services they receive, at what price and how many sales the company plans each month. Then cost of goods, rent, salary, taxes, advertising, logistics and other fixed expenses are calculated. These figures show the financing requirement and future profit.
The grant budget is built from real purchases. For equipment, it is useful to have current commercial offers; for repairs, a clear scope of work; for marketing, a specific channel and amount. The owner's contribution is planned separately, especially where the total launch cost exceeds the amount of government support.
A job means regular salary and taxes. The number of employees is therefore linked to revenue after launch. For an operating business, scaling should produce additional sales, production capacity or a new location. The owner calculates how many new orders the equipment or team will bring and how long it will take for the invested money to return through profit.
It is also useful to keep a reserve of the owner's own funds for the first months of operation while sales are still reaching the planned level.
Application and Work after Receiving the Grant
Before applications open on 1 September, the entrepreneur can prepare the application, financial calculations, expense list and a short explanation of the business model. At the interview, the owner should be able to state in simple terms the customer, price, sales volume, expenses, required equipment and jobs. The same figures are then used in day-to-day business management.
After a positive decision, the funds are used for the approved purposes and under the programme terms. Purchases, employment and actual activity must correspond to the business plan and grant decision. The entrepreneur keeps contracts, invoices, payment documents and HR records in the accounting system.
UBC can prepare the business plan, budget and calculations of sales, salary and taxes for the new Own Business model. The client receives a document that can be used to explain the business at the interview and manage the money after financing. In August 2026, the main task is to finalise the figures before the new stage opens on 1 September.
